Mayan, Christian and Indian End Time Prophecies
73Is 2012 the End of the World?
With the end of the Mayan calendar approaching on December 21, 2012, many people are worried what that means. Does it mean the end of the world? The apocalypse described in the Bible? Perhaps it means an era of peace and harmony. No matter what side of the fence you sit on, one thing is sure- no one really knows what it means, and there aren't any living Mayans who created the calendar to ask.
Mayan Calendar
Mayan Calendar
There are 144,000 days in the Mayan Calendar. Many people believe that the end of the calendar is just the end of a particular cycle, not the end of the world. This would be the end of 144,000 days and the beginning of the next 144,000 days. The Mayans had cycles of 5125.366 years.
The Mayan Long Count calendar will reach 13.0.0.0.0 on December 21, 2012. The ancient Mayans made no reference to a cataclysmic destruction on this date. It is a coincidence that the date occurs on a solar event, though this event occurs every December 21st.

With humanity coming up fast on 2012, publishers are helping readers gear up and count down to this mysterious some even call it apocalyptic date that ancient Mayan societies were anticipating thousands of years ago.
Christian Apocalypse
For some, the end of the Mayan Calendar melds with the description of the apocalypse described in the book of Revelation from the Bible. The end times are described in great detail throughout the Bible, and not only in the book of Revelation.
The following are the seven seals that will be broken before the Apocalypse occurs:
- Conquest – a White Horse
- War – a Red Horse
- Famine – a Black Horse
- Death – a Pale Horse or Green Horse
- Vision of The Martyrs
- Earthquake and the marking of the Beast on foreheads and hands
- Trumpets of Angels and the End of the World
It is believed that 144,000 prophets will spread the word of God to every corner of the world so that everyone will have a chance to know God and the word of Jesus before the End of the World.
When Satan appears, people will believe that he is the chosen one. He will make people believe that he has the answer to all of their suffering. People will blindly follow him because they will believe all that he has to say. Those who challenge him or will not believe in him will be struck down. He will lead people to believe that there are many Gods that can be worshiped, but this is how people will know he isn't the real Savior, for there can be only one God and one Jesus Christ.

Lakota Sioux Legend of the White Buffalo
At one of the seven council fires of the Lakota Sioux, the people were becoming very hungry. Two young warriors were sent out to hunt. Along the way they came across a beautiful woman who was dressed in white and appeared to be floating above the ground. The first man desired her and when he tried to touch her, she reduced him to bones and ashes. The woman told the second man to return to his people and to tell them that she was coming.
The woman came to the people and presented them with a small bundle. Within the bundle was a pipe. She showed the people how to use it to pray. The woman then taught the people the value of the buffalo, women and children. She explained that women were as valuable as the strongest warrior. After this, she said she would one day return. Then, she rolled four times on the ground and transformed into a white buffalo calf and walked away.
In 1994 a white buffalo calf was born, named Miracle. It is believed that she may represent the legendary woman in white, and perhaps is ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity.

Its so intresting to see this article . Out of all the prophets only one is alive and well HIS name is Yesuva(Jesus Christ) Yes i have studied many religions they are all intresting But the question where does the soul of man come from it has come from the eternal supreme being the God allmighty Yes HE is coming HE is the only one who claimed to be way truth and life (Bible) He rose again from the grave Thats why HE is known as Son of Man . No one can buy it or claim it . Please call HIM in prayer confessing your sins or wrong beliefs ask Him to show the light . He will surely come through ! Three books talk about HIM , The Torha , The Quran , Bible , Jews are looking for the Messiaha , The Quran refers HIM as a Holy prophet came and did miracles, and Bible declares He came and died for our sins and any one belives on HIM will be saved and He is coming back again. for take away the One who calls and accepted him father and God thats the Gospel. May Yesuava give you heart and eyes to see him and hear HIM as we face these final days.
I have read the bible with a sincere heart and could not always understand it. I like your definitiion of the parables and what they will mean when we start to become extinct.

We are on the brink of the most astounding breakthrough in the history of mankind. We are just months away from awareness of a spiritual connectedness that will usher in an era of peace and enlightenment. It goes by many names, but the storms are coming, and the little rivulets of living waters are collecting in the valleys and plains of our mutual inner landscape. Like some cosmic tractor beam, we are irresistibly drawn to the light.
You can see it in the resurgence of fundamentalist Christianity, in the evangelical movement, even as it breaks away from its hijacking by political opportunists. The movement is operating in New Age circles, in the Wicca movement, in the return to Native American traditions, and most of all in the oneness of mind being nurtured by the technology: the Internet, instant messaging, television, and global communications. There are all manner of study groups for modern revelations – from books like the Conversations With God series, The Urantia Book, and A Course in Miracles, to name a few. All these recent spiritual revelations are centers of light. And the lights are growing and merging into one brilliant family, recognizing the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man.
Yes, there are rumors of Armageddon, and whispers of the end of the world in 2012, but what need is there to worry when we know we walk with God? What matters it if empires collapse and structures implode, when we recognize our reality in spirit and the eternal life promised by the Son of God?
Some of us are lucky enough to know a love in life where we have a mind meld with our partner. We finish each others sentences and we share a bond that fosters telepathic communication. It’s not reading the other person’s mind, but rather an awareness of one mind. Now imagine that kind of love between all the awakened souls on the planet. Global warming, poverty, and war will be banished in a matter of days. Our connectedness and awareness of spiritual realities will build a new society constituting the Second Coming of Christ.
Well done my friend. Although I think you over looked the coincidence of 144,000 days in the Mayan calender and prophets of the christian faith. Such similarities deserve further investigation. Remember, the christian faith is one of the youngest and untested of the world religios', and as such have "borrowed" many legends and prophesies from those who came before it. I would like to see a follow-up, maybe in deeper comparison to the two. I am eager to read about what you have found. With utter disregard of being repititious, well done.
